The Beginning

When time began, there was only One God. There was no world. God is the creator, the builder and the artist. There was nothing and nobody else when time began. When God spoke, things happened. He said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God took His time making all things. He made plants and animals; He made earth and sky; He made sea creatures. He made birds. He made lights in the sky, the sun, moon, and stars. At last, He made man. The first man was named Adam. Then, God made a companion for Adam. Her name was Eve. She was his wife. Adam and Eve were made in God’s image. You are also made in God’s image. God was pleased with all He had made. Thus, on the seventh day of His creation, He took a rest.
