Jesus is Tempted

Following His baptism, Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, where He fasted for forty days and was tempted by the devil. The devil challenged Him to turn stones into bread, offer Him the kingdoms of the world in exchange for worship, and throw Himself off the temple to prove God’s protection. In every instance, Jesus resisted the temptations by quoting scripture, demonstrating that one must live by God’s words and worship Him alone. By remaining obedient and trusting in God’s truth, Jesus defeated the enemy’s schemes, showing that believers can also overcome temptation by relying on Jesus and the Bible.
