Cain and Abel

Adam and Eve were the first man and woman God created. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they had to leave the beautiful garden God had made. They had to
work hard now to live. Adam and Eve were also the first mother and father. They had two boys named Cain and Abel. Cain worked as a farmer, growing plants and vegetables. Abel worked with animals. When it was time to give an offering to God, Abel gave the best animal from his herd. Cain brought some of his crops. God liked Abel’s offering because Abel gave from his heart, but God did not accept Cain’s offering. Cain became so angry that he killed his brother Abel. God saw what he
did. God told Cain he had to leave that land and just roam the earth. He would live as a homeless wanderer. God put a mark on Cain to keep anyone from killing him. Cain also had to leave the presence of God. Choosing to disobey God separates us from Him and His blessings.
